SaaS Sales Specialist

Local Government Manager, a leading Software-as-a-Service solution for local governments across North America, has a vacancy for a SaaS Sales Specialist. This individual will respond to qualified leads, help prospects assess problems and evaluate solutions, and build a stream of SaaS subscriptions. Local Government Manager is a product of CloudBench Applications, a growing business backed by venture capital.

The SaaS Sales Specialist will be an energetic, creative professional who understands business processes and works efficiently. The successful candidate will be a team player who enjoys learning – and sharing – successful techniques as we climb the sales learning curve. This is a mid-level position with a competitive base, a comprehensive benefits package, and the potential to earn significant incentive compensation based on results.

Specific responsibilities within the marketing and sales funnel:
• Contact leads generated from web and search-based marketing.
• Confirm prospects’ the levels of awareness and interest.
• Use web tools to guide prospects through problem assessment.
• Assist prospects search for solutions via whitepapers and webinars.
• Help prospects evaluate SaaS solutions using web demos and trial subscriptions.
• Manage their process to select and purchase SaaS subscriptions.
• Track results, productivity and progress through the funnel.
• Share lessons with the marketing and sales team.

Required experience and abilities:
• Sales experience – especially telephone and consultative sales – in an entrepreneurial,
commission based environment.
• Up to date understanding of the funnel approach to marketing and sales.
• Excellent communication skills and presence.
• Experience in a software support role.
• High level of skill in written and verbal communication.
• Strong computer skills including SalesForce, web tools and Office.
• Self-directed and able to work independently while still part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a positive, problem solving mindset.
• Desire to work in a rapid growth environment that generates a high level of activity and requires
professionalism, confidentiality, efficiency, flexibility and teamwork.

Preferred qualifications and experience:
• Post secondary education in a related field.
• Experience working with specialized software solutions.
• Experience conducting product demonstrations in person or over the web.

Start date: First week of November or sooner

Location: Downtown Vancouver
