Dynamic Flash Content Developers Needed
Junior Flash Developer

Successful candidates must have an exceptional work ethic, a great attitude, be energetic self-starters and extremely detail-oriented in their work. This is a long-term position with the potential to quickly evolve into a senior role for the right candidate. This position is not eligible for contract or remote work. This is an in-house development role working with our existing web application and Flash development teams within our New Westminster office.
The Junior Flash Developer position is suited for candidates with skills beyond basic Flash animation and design skills. The focus of this role is to leverage dynamic database driven content into Flash-based presentation frameworks to maximize the relevance of the content to the viewer.
The successful candidate will have a solid knowledgebase and skill set in the following areas:
•Creating and presenting dynamic Flash content
•ActionScript
•XML or delimited data/variable parsing and manipulation
•Optimizing Flash content and digital assets for maximum serving efficiency
•Experience with hand-coding HTML, CSS and JavaScript
The following skills are considered an asset:
•Experience with video and audio integration and prototype creation
•Experience with PHP, ColdFusion and MySQL
•Experience working within a Mac OS X environment
•Strong graphic design skills
While the ability to work independently is required, a large portion of the position requires working closely with the team members and testers to ensure the required quality and deadlines are maintained. Excellent language and communication skills are required as documentation and reporting duties make up part of the role.
This is a salaried position with an initial offering of between $36-$42K per year plus a comprehensive benefits package. We expect to fill this position as soon as possible.
