DB Architect
Duties & Responsibilities
• Participate in the Architectural Process with other Architects contributing to High Level / Low Level Database Design Documents for review by management.
• Develop Database Architecture that includes Data Models, Performance Models, Operational Architecture, Availability Models and Disaster Recovery.
• Mentor and provide guidance for Database Administrators on production system – as required.
• Troubleshooting and resolving DB issues in Development or Production environments.
• Research and evaluates new database technologies that are relevant to the organization.
Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 7 years Information Technology and Project experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a DB Architecture related roles
• Minimum 3 years using MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Experience working in Web Development environment, which includes PHP, Java or Flash is required.
